Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Picks

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Early Access has already started and the Public Sale opens up July 21 and lasts until August 6! Shopping the sale during early access is exclusive to Nordstrom cardholders, but the sale opens up to everyone during the public sale. Although I don’t personally have a Nordstrom card, I still perused the sale catalog and the beauty exclusives and thought I’d post my personal picks here! *Note: I’m most likely NOT buying most of these things, but I’ve picked out what I like!Read More »

Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herb and Rosewater ($7)

To be honest, I mainly like this because spraying my face with it is fun and feels good and smells nice. The spray is multipurpose. I use it pretty much at any step of my face routine.. before/after moisturizing, before/after makeup application, etc. It’s hydrating, refreshing, and soothing. Rosewater also has a number of benefits because it has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antioxidant, and anti-aging properties. I don’t think I can speak to those benefits but it’s nice to know that spraying this stuff on my face may go beyond being fun and feeling good.Read More »

Disney | OOTD + Tips

A couple weekends ago, Jake (aka bf) and I took a trip to the happiest place on Earth: Orlandoooo *cue the Book of Mormon Orlando song*. We’ve been “planning” to go for a year so we were really excited that it was finally happening!!!! It was a short weekend trip with only 2 full days to go to parks, so we narrowed it down to one day at Magic Kingdom and one day at Epcot. Magic Kingdom was a no-brainer because Jake had never been. You can’t go to Disney and not go to Magic Kingdom at least once! Epcot I wasn’t too sure about at first. I visited that park when I was a kid and thought it was SO BORING but BOY WAS I WRONG. Magic Kingdom is magical and super Disney but Epcot is the best park ever ever ever when you’re a legal adult who enjoys looking at things. At Epcot, you can eat and drink around the world, see and experience other cultures (kind of), and have fun without standing in endless crowds/lines. Highly recommend.Read More »

My 5 Skincare Essentials

1. Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm ($29)

Taking off makeup is one of the most important steps in my skincare routine. How else is my skin going to breathe if it’s always covered in crap? I’ve tried various makeup removers, but this product is by far my favorite. It comes in balm form so it’s perfect for traveling. I scrape off a little bit of the balm with my finger and as I massage it into my face, the balm immediately dissolves into an oil. I focus on my lashes first and then spread it out from the center of my face where most of my makeup is concentrated. This product is excellent at removing any traces of  makeup on my skin but it also gently and effectively melts away my waterproof mascara!!!! There’s no need to tug on my lashes and the balm turned oil doesn’t burn my eyeballs. I also love how lightweight it feels despite the oil form and when I wash it away, my skin doesn’t feel stripped nor oily. In fact, I don’t think I would need to cleanse my face again except that I just want to.Read More »
